All About Saskatoon, Regina Saskatchewan gift baskets & flowers!

Here we keep you up to speed on our latest news, products and services!

For example . . .

All of our designs are really simply just examples of what you can order so because we custom design everything, you can have them pretty much as you see them or we can modify them to suit your occasion, event, preferences and budget!

This way you can have a unique design!!!

And that's important because there are lots of "designs" that are really just carbon copies of each other. In the industry they are referred to as . . .

"Mofaala" (months old, factory assembled, all look alike)

gift baskets and they've most often been sitting around a long time on a display shelf somewhere (so much for fresh)!

Worse yet is that these baskets are the ones most often the most visible and if your business buys them there's every likelihood that whomever they give them to, be they customers, clients or employees, odds are they will see them and worst of all their prices too!

Not What You Think You Ordered!

Often people are drawn to the "Sponsored" Ad listings, usually appearing at the top of the page of your search results, but many times they're not really "local" but say they are! Often times too they're a wire service or, as the industry calls them "order gatherers"! Essentially they snare orders and then place them with a florist, often one a member of their service. Why does this matter? Well, the wire service gets a commission, usually 15-20% of your order's value so you buy a gift basket for $100 plus delivery charges and applicable taxes but, because you purchased it from the wire service, the florist fulfilling your order is unaware what you paid and worse yet, the order they receive is often to include the delivery charge and taxes. For example, you purchased a $100 gift basket, let's say with a delivery charge of $15.00 and taxes of $14.00 (sometimes even a service charge is added to cover credit card fees or whatever!). All in all, you've spend at least $129.00 but unbeknownst to you, your recipient is getting a basket of $57 ($100 less $20 commission, less $15 delivery, less taxes of $8), in the end, a $57 basket, worth a lot less than half of what you ordered and paid for!

What Can You Do?

Well, first up, pay attention to their Google reviews before you order. If you feel comfortable with them then after delivery is complete, go to the people you sent it to and ask if they'll take a picture of what they received and text it to you. Odds are it won't come close to what you ordered both in appearance, content and value! If things don't add up then go to the florist it came from and ask them what the order was for. If it's not what you ordered then go to your credit card company and have them charge the wire service back and get a refund!!!

No, not all wire services, sorry "order gatherers", of course, are like that but many are so be diligent and consider going to the "real" local business. They'll appreciate getting the order at it's full value and your recipients will appreciate you too! Best of all, everyone gets what they were supposed to and that's as it should be!!!
